UEFA Europa League Playoff Round ties involving Greek sides are:
PAOK v Brøndby
Qäbälä v Panathinaikos
Atromitos v Fenerbahçe

Vitor Pereira will make a return to Athens, his ‪Fenerbahçe‬ side will take on ‪‎Atromitos‬ for a place in the Europa League group stages after they crashed out of the ‪Champions League to ‪‎Shakhtar Donetsk‬ in midweek. Unfortunately for Atromitos they received one of the toughest draws possible. Let’s hope they can do Greece and Athens proud and send Pereira back to Istanbul empty handed! I’m sure Atromitos will have the support of all the Thrylos faithful after Pereira left the club in such an undignified manner this summer.

Panathinaikos and PAOK were handed more favourable draws. Igor Tudor’s side have a fairly tricky tie against last season’s Danish Superliga third placed side, Brøndby. A side with a long standing European Pedigree and have been crowned champions of Denmark on ten occasions.

Panathinaikos have been handed what should be in theory is an easier tie. They face Azerbaijani side Qäbälä in their two match encounter. Gabala FK finished third in last season’s Azerbaijan Premier League. They are a young club only being founded in 2005. Qäbälä won the Azerbaijan First Division title in 2005/06 and made their European debut in last season’s Europa League first qualifying round.

We send our best wishes to all the Greek sides flying the flag in European competition this season.
